Pentagon Luxury Suites Enugu

I love the peaceful surroundings, the room decor and concept, and how responsive the staff are. But the place has lost some of its former glory and needs a lot of maintenance and renovation. The water heater is bad, the curtains are very dusty, most light switches don't work, the TV stations are static and unclear, and the doors are in poor condition. The towels and sheets are old and low quality. With proper maintenance, it could regain its reputation.

It's easy to reach the Pentagon by tricycle, even though it's in a reserved area, since it's off the Ebeano Tunnel. The rooms are comfortable but not spacious, and even the executive rooms feel short on space. The indoor pool is very clean and nice, though it seemed hardly used during the days I stayed there. There's also a gym area with equipment that looked as if it hadn't been used in a while. I didn't try it, so I can't say whether guests weren't interested or the equipment was in poor shape. The reception staff are very responsive, and the meals are decent and not too expensive for a hotel of this standard. They offer discounts outside peak periods. It's a nice place for a few nights if there are no more than two of you; with more people, you'll need extra rooms. There's a restaurant and laundry service, but no in-room safe.

A cozy, nice setting with courteous staff and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

The receptionist and the porter were both great. I enjoyed staying here and would recommend it to anyone coming to Enugu.
