Golden Tulip Owu Crown Ibadan

The rooms are okay, but the toilets need updating. They no longer suit the hotel. On my second stay, there were lots of mosquitoes in my room.

I went there for a photoshoot. There was plenty of space and it felt like an old luxury setting, so it was a comfortable environment. With proper renovation, I think it could become a talk of the town.

This visit I got a better room, with fewer broken sockets and switches than last time, though they still took 24hrs to replace the broken fridge. I suppose I should be grateful, since the fridge took 72hrs to fix on my first visit. The upgraded TV and entertainment package is really commendable, the best I've had at a hotel in a while. The pool bar was a big letdown. It feels dated and neglected, is underused, and the bartenders' attitude was lackadaisical at best. Food and drinks seemed overpriced for the setting and its general state of disrepair. From my room window, I saw bottles and plates left on tables until the next morning.

The breakfast could use more variety and better quality. Otherwise, Owu Crown has a nicely kept environment, and the staff are friendly and dedicated. It’s a good place to check out when visiting Ibadan.
