Indigo Hotel Restaurant & Bar

We booked Indigo Bar and Restaurant, Muri Okonola Street, VI Lagos for my kids' birthday party on 23rd February 2025. The food tasted good, but the service was pathetic. It wasn't about how much we paid. We paid for the meals and expected them to be served, but the starters came very slowly, as if they were deliberately holding them back. We had to beg the stewards, and when three people at our table asked for a starter, the waiters brought just one piece. We had 66 guests, adults and kids, and the restaurant didn't even have sugar. Many guests never got dessert, even though it was included in what we'd paid. Friends among my guests complained about the terrible service. I believe this reflects the owners and management, who seemed focused on maximizing profit rather than on what they deliver. I won't visit again, even though I'd liked the food on an earlier visit, and I would never recommend hosting a party there. It's the worst place to hold a party in VI. Go there if you want your guests leaving with complaints and grief.

The decor and atmosphere deserve a thumbs up, and the food was really good and surprisingly affordable. Our orders arrived on time without any issues. The waiter stayed close and was happy to offer suggestions. We got excellent service from the moment we walked in. They clearly care about the customer experience as much as the food. I had a great visit and will definitely go back. That nan bread is calling me!

We said we were vegan as soon as we walked in, and a manager came right over to help us choose. They suggested spinach and lentils with naan bread, and it was so delicious! Another staff member was keen to talk with us about veganism, and we were happy to chat. Such a welcoming atmosphere and great customer service. We'll definitely return!

The atmosphere was lovely and intimate, and the location is easy to find, even for a first-time visitor. The bathroom was clean and beautiful, especially if you like taking photos there. We had nice food at a slightly affordable price, with a wide-ranging menu that includes Indian, Chinese, and Nigerian dishes, plus drinks and alcohol if you want it. The customer service was the best I've ever experienced. They gave us games to keep us entertained, and Saturday is games night. Sunday is karaoke night, so go then if that's what you're after. I highly recommend it!
