After a long day, the spacious, well-kept rooms were a relaxing place to come back to. The hotel was very clean and welcoming, with a peaceful atmosphere and good security. Staff were respectful and friendly, and ready to help whenever I needed it. I had a wonderful stay during my recent trip to Nigeria, and would recommend it to anyone visiting. Request for Refund Hello everyone, I’m asking Joshester Hotel Ikeja to return a payment that was made twice for an extra night during my checkout on a trip to Nigeria. I’ve tried to sort it out with them in a professional and friendly way. I needed to pay for one more night, which we used, but I didn’t have naira or a Nigerian bank account. My sister abroad was going to help, but it was nighttime for her and I didn’t know when she’d see my message. I tried calling her but couldn’t reach her, so with my driver waiting outside, I asked a friend to pay quickly. My friend sent the money. Just as I was about to confirm it with the receptionist, I saw that my sister had also sent a payment receipt. The two payments came through almost at the same time. I told the hotel both my friend and sister had paid and asked for my friend’s payment back. The receptionist confirmed both payments while I was there, but first said they didn’t give refunds. I was shocked. After speaking with her manager, she agreed to process it. It’s been nearly two months, and I’ve called and pleaded repeatedly to get my money back. This is incredibly frustrating. I don’t want to escalate things, but if I have to, I’ll involve bloggers to bring attention to the issue, and I’m sure they’ll love it. I made the payment quickly because they wouldn’t let me leave if I’d asked for that, and I believe I deserve fair treatment. I urge management to process my refund as soon as possible. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
