Lagos Continental Hotel

I stayed here for business and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were helpful, and I didn’t need to call room service for the things I needed. The grooming kit in the room was a particularly nice touch. That alone earns all five marks from me.

I was here for a conference, not to stay overnight, and thought the hall, atmosphere, and overall look of the venue were lovely. The hospitality was good, and I enjoyed the food. Some staff did a good job with service, but their conduct could use more training. During lunch, a few were loud, muttered while working, and spoke loudly outside the restrooms. They also touched guests, clinked plates and cutlery while clearing tables, and corrected people in an aggressive tone instead of being firm but polite. Compared with the Abuja counterpart and other top tier hotels, they didn’t seem discreet enough. That might be fine at an ordinary establishment, but it stands out at a hotel aiming to be top tier.

The rooms are thoughtfully laid out, very clean, and supplied with plenty of towels. I had a wonderful time at Lagos Continental Hotel, thanks in part to the considerate, helpful staff who were always smiling. Joseph at the restaurant was especially ready to help with a smile. I’ll keep coming back whenever I’m in Lagos.

It was peaceful and felt secure, which made it easy to relax. My room was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and the staff were polite, professional, and quick to help. Joseph at the lobby cafe was especially helpful. I had a wonderful stay, would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting, and will definitely return.
