Lantano Cottage

The surroundings are serene, but the room and front desk service were very poor. I never tried the food, though.

I stayed for three weeks and had to keep asking for my room to be cleaned. They charged me for the complementary breakfast listed on the menu, noodles, even though staff said it wasn't included. There was just one duvet in the room, and after it was washed they didn't provide another. The staff were friendly and cooperative, but food was only made on request and many menu items weren't available.

My first stay was in December 2021, and it was great: good food, great service, a pleasant atmosphere, and a nice location in GRA. The internet was poor during the two weeks I was there, but I still planned to return. I came back in July 2024 intending to stay for three weeks, but after a few days I couldn't take it anymore. The woman at the front desk was rude and needs to stop treating customers that way. The furniture needs replacing, especially the downstairs mattresses, which were completely sunken and painful to sleep on. The AC had no regulator, and I ended up getting sick from it. The sheets were dirty and smelled bad. The food is still good, but room prices and everything else have gone up, understandably, while the quality has dropped so much. I was utterly disappointed and won't return.

The hotel was quiet and clean, and the staff were courteous. The bathrooms need shower curtains or another decent way to keep the floor from getting soaked. Breakfast also needs a lot of work, from the food choices and taste to the utensils. Still, it’s not a bad hotel.
