We enjoyed our stay, and the view was great. The place was neat too, though there wasn’t much choice on the buffet. Most restaurant staff were friendly, but a few looked down on people. One even said I’d eaten too quickly and that the portion was huge. I paid for my food, so I can eat what I like. Another staff member watched me and my buffet portion. On checkout day I went to eat and asked for water, and she grudgingly put the bottle on the table without a glass. Three staff members weren’t nice to me, but I don’t really care. I enjoyed the stay and will still spend my holidays at Hilton honors when I’m in the country.

I liked the food, and the hotel has a classy feel with pretty much everything you could need. It’s a convenient spot for business travel, under five minutes from both Lagos International airport and the local airport without any hassle. If you fly in by private plane, you can taxi right up to it.

If you need to stay near the airport and avoid traffic, the location is perfect. But for a deluxe room at $$, the white sheets should be better. The Wi-Fi needs improving, and the TV wasn’t working properly. The sports channels seemed to be stuck on replay, and there was no bath rob. Shower water also didn’t drain right away.

The rooms are great, clean, and thoughtfully designed, and the hotel feels calm and pleasant. My disappointment was the hospitality. Staff, especially managers, need more training in manners and guest service. They didn’t handle concerns efficiently and didn’t seem to care. Food also took a very long time to arrive. As a lifetime diamond guest, this was my first disappointing stay. I hope they take negative feedback seriously and improve the service standards needed to protect Hilton’s reputation and encourage tourism.

The rooms are great, and the restaurant service was too. Try Edwin’s Mocha Frappuccino, I had mine with Almond milk. And a thumbs up to Chef Jeannie, pronounced Yannie. Looking forward to the Steakhouse opening.
