Ikoyi is a prime neighborhood, and the hotel has decent security around it. But basic maintenance seems to be a problem. During my stay there was no water to flush the toilet or take a bath. I was disappointed that a whole hotel could run out of water for flushing. The night lamp adaptor was bad, the toilet seat was wobbly, and the closet was bad. I told the representatives how frustrated I was as I left around 6:30am. It’s weird.

The setting felt nice and secure, and I liked the food, especially the breakfast buffet. The room gave me a lot of trouble, mainly the bathroom. A shower with so little pressure was a chore, and I’d have preferred a tap. It was an okay experience overall.

It was really quiet, and I’d like to visit again. The receptionists were courteous and prompt, room service was generally good, and the rooms had modern, functional furnishings. The hotel Wi-Fi was terrible, though, and GSM signals were poor. The bar and kitchen were missing most of the items on their menus. Getting into Osborne Foreshore Estate, where the hotel is, is restricted, so you need someone to call the main gate for access. Management should also keep an eye on what miscreants are doing in the hotel.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. The buffet looked good, though the taste won’t blow you away. Standard rooms are small, so pay more if you want a bigger one. Several networks have dead zones here, which means slow browsing, and the in-house Wi-Fi is slow too. Bring your own data.
