Magmercy Apartments

The two staff members were the only part I couldn’t fault: the cleaner did his best with what he was given, and the gate man was very pleasant. Everything else was a letdown at mag mercy_apartments. I booked a self-contained place with a kitchen, room/lounge, and bathroom, but the front desk had to call someone before letting me have a room. The first room smelled awful and was damp, with no working sink or tap and no cooking facilities. It was dark, and its only window wouldn’t open. I asked to move and got an en-suite room with a shared kitchen, but the kitchen was a dump, not fit for storage, let alone living in. The advert and pictures didn’t match what I found. The microwave was never cleaned, the kitchen shelf was hanging, and there was no dishwasher. The TV had no remote and barely showed channels; it took two weeks for someone to come fix it. The promised 24-hour electricity was a big lie. During my stay, they said the generator needed repairs and nothing could be done until morning. The generator was off for hours on the last Saturday of November 2020, there was no power from 2am to 6am on the first Monday of December, and on 9/12/2020 I had to tell the agent I’d had enough and would take drastic action before the lights came on. The en-suite bathroom smelled, had cockroaches, and I once saw a lizard. The AC was dusty, leaked water, and had no remote. The WiFi claim was another lie. When I asked, I was told it had run out, so I had to sort out my own.

There’s no restaurant in the building, but I found another one nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful, and when the WC in my room caused a problem, they moved me to a bigger room without charging extra. It’s a cool place to stay.

Magmercy apartments looks nice from the outside 👍 I only passed by on my way somewhere, though, and haven’t been inside.

The road is smooth and quiet, with lovely views.
