Monty Suites Lekki

Music was playing at a level where people could still talk, the space was neat, and the menu was rich. Prices were average. I came for a business meeting and thought it was the best space. It looks okay for a short stay or vacation too. It’s a hidden gem, and I’ll definitely go back.

The location and hotel are great, but the management is terrible. I have a scalp condition called hidradenitis suppurativa that makes my scalp bleed. Instead of charging me for the soiled sheets and raising the issue with me, the hotel denied me future bookings. In my opinion, that’s a form of discrimination. I had stayed there for 4-5 weeks in January and another 3-4 weeks in June/July.

We came as walk-in guests and checked in quite late at night. The room had a faulty glass bathroom door that felt like a disaster waiting to happen. The TV and fridge didn’t work either. We were left in the room with at least 4 repair men working, at night, so we had to leave.

I slept so well at Monty Suites that I ended up canceling my early appointment to stay in bed a few more hours. It was incredibly comfortable, and I woke up feeling rested and refreshed. Definitely recommend it if a good night's sleep is what you're after.
