Morning Side Suites and Spa VI

I didn’t feel comfortable enough to stay, so I left. All 6 rooms I was shown had damp, and the bathrooms looked odd and were unclean. The sink water was dirty. When I raised it, he said they would treat the water at night, and when I asked if that happened every day, he said yes. I’m sure that isn’t true. The place was deserted, too. I’d paid for 3 nights and hope I get my refund.

The unpleasant smell in the room seemed like it could be coming from faulty bathroom ventilation, and I also found a roach. The bathroom was in poor shape, the mosquito net was torn, and one door had no handle. I was also concerned about safety: a tea maker had a damaged plug with exposed wires, and I saw a group of "rough-looking young men" in the car park while the security guard seemed unconcerned. The room had no working air conditioning, and they offered a standing fan instead. They still use regular old keys rather than keycards. The hotel’s online pictures didn’t seem to show its current condition. Taken together, these problems made the place feel neglected and not safe, comfortable or hygienic. My recent stay at morning side suites and spa was deeply disappointing and suggested standards had declined. Prospective guests should be cautious and check the hotel’s current state before booking. Management should address these serious deficiencies immediately.

I paid 60,000naira, but breakfast wasn’t complimentary. They wanted another 6,000naira for it, and the breakfast wasn’t even worth 3,000naira.

The ambience was great, with a lovely scent and mood lighting, and the charges are reasonable. But they didn’t provide toothpaste or a brush during the stay, and sometimes the water cut off while I was bathing.
