November 5 Hotel Lagos

The hotel is subpar, though affordable, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you have another option. The receptionist on duty today was rude to me over the intercom when I asked questions, as if she shouldn’t have to answer them. When I tried speaking to her after she came out, she defended herself and shushed me. I’ll never stay here again or recommend it.

I stayed there from April 29th to April 30th after family booked it for me because it was near the Airport. The room had a picture of Onyeka Onwenu, but it was very dirty. The sheets and towels were old, and although I asked them to replace the pillowcase, they refused to change the rest of the bedding. I ended up using my own blanket over the part of the bed where I slept. The desk was dusty, some bulbs were out, and the shower had a bucket and container for bathing. Terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to a dog.

We sat at the bar for 2½ hours with a friend and nobody came to take our drink order. We'd already asked who was serving drinks and got no answer.

The rooms are cozy enough to help you fall asleep quickly, and the service is warm and quick. It's still a good option for a short stay around Ikeja, though the parking area is cramped.
