Quietlane Residence

For my three-week vacation, this was a clean, affordable place with welcoming staff and tasty food, close to the main strip. It came close to being top notch, but the power, WiFi, and hot water kept cutting out. Staff also didn't always come to sort out problems right away. Aside from those issues, I had a nice stay.

I liked the artwork in my Classic room. It gave the space an elegant touch. The room itself was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the air conditioner and water heater both worked well. They also provided a towel, bathing soap, and complimentary tea, sugar, and milk. The staff were friendly and helpful. Quietlane feels more like an apartment than a regular hotel, which fits the name. The room options were Compact at N15,000, Classic at N17,000, Premium at N20,000, and Business Suite, though I don't know its price. Those rates were from June 31, 2021, and could change.

The neighbourhood is fairly quiet even though the accommodation is right in the heart of Ikeja. Staff are pleasant, and it's a solid spot to relax. They should give more attention to plumbing, since I noticed dripping faucets and pipes.

The staff were friendly and willing to help whenever something came up, and the price is reasonable. Still, the rooms need work. The cheapest one is very small, and the next category is only a little bigger. I can't say for sure whether that room is called Classic. Not every room has a water heater, especially the least expensive one, and the TV channels weren't good. I've seen other hotels do better for the same price. The place feels old-fashioned and the ambience is poor. It could be brighter and updated. The hotel sign is so tiny that it's easy to drive past, and a larger sign would make it clearer that it's a hotel open to guests, not a residence.
