The staff were courteous and helpful, and I found my stay comfortable. R&A City Hotel is relatively affordable for the area. You can hear the call to prayer from a nearby mosque, and supermarkets, electronics shops, and restaurants are less than a five-minute walk away. There are rooms in two buildings, one with wheelchair access including a ramp, elevator, and sliding doors, while the other isn't accessible. The spacious parking area can hold up to 20 cars. There is also a swimming pool, indoor bar, gym, laundry service, and restaurant. A third party runs the spa and salon. At the time of my review, the least expensive room was 45k naira. Rooms have a Smart TV, water heater, and electric kettle, and there are fire extinguishers in the lobby and corridors. A few things could be better, like the non-working clocks and the lack of help with parking at times.

The WiFi actually works, yippie! The rooms are good enough, the service is great, and the staff are courteous. A great place to visit.

I was tired after my trip and had to switch rooms three times before finding a decent one, though even that room had problems. The front desk team and baggage porters were patient and very helpful. Maintenance got the air conditioner working after I called, thankfully, but the internet never connected. The washroom needed a proper clean and wasn't restocked with bath items. The intercom didn't work for reception or the restaurant, so I had to call the front desk from my mobile. At breakfast, the restaurant staff were really noisy and weren't polite to each other while guests were there. There was a kettle in the room but no tea supplies, which disappointed me as a tea lover. I hope the renovations lead to better service. I would still recommend the hotel.

I had a nice experience, though there wasn't enough parking space in the compound.
