The Colossus Lagos

We’ve held several meetings at The Colossus, and the meals and snacks have been really good. The staff are welcoming, always smiling, and ready to help. But there’s one staff member who starts clearing the table while we still have plenty of food left. The organisers paid in full for the training, and it’s a buffet, so I don’t understand why the food from the first round gets packed away. This has happened three times now, and some colleagues stopped her today. I hope management looks into it, because it isn’t nice.

The complimentary breakfast had a good range of choices, and I found the staff friendly and courteous. The room was fairly spacious and the furnishings were okay, though the windows need cleaning and the gym could use some improvement. The hotel is in the Ikeja area of Lagos, Nigeria.

The food was very good, with both local favorites and international options. Rooms were clean, and the price was very fair, especially for somewhere close to the airport. There’s a pool and a relaxing rooftop bar where you can eat too. I stayed three days and will come back on my next trip to Lagos. The staff were great, and a shout-out to the General manager.

I visited a friend who was staying here and was impressed by how helpful and courteous the staff were. Michael was welcoming and helped with my bags, and Hannah had a lovely smile, answered all our questions patiently, and was very pleasant. We mentioned an issue with the A.C and the toilet flushing system to her, and the maintenance guy, Aliu, came almost immediately to fix it. Dinner at the restaurant was really good, and the hotel is close to the airport too.
