The Guest House Ikoyi

There are spacious grounds with plenty of greenery, a rare thing to find in Ikoyi these days. GH Ikoyi is centrally located on Ojora Rd in the old ikoyi residential area. The property has two buildings and has just had a complete renovation. The guest house boutique hotel is quiet, with uncluttered rooms and lots of space, so it works well for meetings. The grounds also offer room for outdoor team building activities. Whatever kind of stay you’re after, visiting The Guest House Ikoyi is a plus.

I paid N240,000.00 for a three-night stay starting April 24, 2025, but checked out early after finding wall geckos in the room. Before I arrived, the receptionist had said breakfast was included, since my friend made the reservation. Once I checked in, though, manager Alexander insisted I pay N10,000.00 per day for it. I left for the Golden Tulip Lekki and was told my N160,000.00 refund would come within 48 hours. It still hadn’t arrived after 72 hours, so my friend had to press them to issue it. They eventually refunded the amount minus N100.00, which they called a service charge. Petty, very petty. I’d never recommend this place.

The service was very poor, and the staff were rude.

I liked the leafy feel of the grounds right away. All those trees make the place feel really calming 🥰. The staff were warm and treated me very well, and the customer service stood out. My room was spacious and very neat, at least the one I stayed in. There’s a gym, two pools and a restaurant, plus a roomy reception with places to sit. It’s a great spot if you enjoy being around nature.
