Scarlet Lodge

I only stayed one night, but kept thinking about the place for the rest of my time in Nigeria. I came from Texas, and this place meets those standards, maybe even exceeds them. The rooms are *UCKING AMAZING, and the food tastes great and is presented beautifully.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and good, and the staff are decent, if only a little professional. There's a swimming pool and a small bar. The meals are okay, but they're only continental dishes. My stay was fine, though local food options would have made it better and earned a five-star rating.

I only stayed one night, but I was happy with it and would return when I'm back in Lagos. The hotel is tucked away yet well located, with a few restaurants nearby, including BL within walking distance. My room was a little small and dark, though it had everything I needed. Best of all, it was really quiet.

The room was neat and modern, and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, but the rest of my stay was disappointing. The bed squeaked constantly, and when I asked for bottled water, I was told they were out. They charge 1200n for a bottle, and there's no complimentary breakfast even for a two-night stay. The food was overpriced and poor: my grilled chicken pizza was so sweet it tasted like cake, the apple shisha was overpowering and made me nauseous, and the vegetable spring rolls were very oily.
