Toprano Hotel

The surroundings were neat, and the room was okay. But when I called to order food, the chef or whoever answered was very rude, so I ended up buying food outside.

I stayed here about three months ago, and the customer service was top notch. The staff were very nice, the food was wonderful, and the hotel had a very clean ambiance. One of the best hotels in Lagos state Nigeria.

What a harrowing stay. I’d checked some hotels around Ikeja and rated toprano highly, so I was disappointed. I reserved royal suites, with calls a week before and even the day before check-in, but got a room that was lower quality than what I paid for. It was cramped, with no room to move around and old table furniture. The AC was noisy and leaking water, and the bed foundations were weak enough that I woke up in pain. I complained and was moved to an even worse room, where the AC didn’t work and the TV had no signal, so I had to return to the original room. Before they served my breakfast, just tea and bread with no eggs, I had to pay a #500 service charge.

I’d never been somewhere where I found the surrounding area so captivating. The people around there have a great camaraderie, too. I liked the location, close to the Watercress Hotel, where I had a function to attend. I think the place is okay.
