247 Luxury Hotel

We got to the hotel around 2 am and went straight to bed. By 4:50 am I woke up drenched in sweat because the air conditioning barely worked all night, and I couldn’t get back to sleep. Even after we upgraded to an executive room, the AC still didn’t work properly. One of our two rooms had a strong, choking smell as soon as we walked in. The small space and bed size were also reasons we chose to upgrade. When we first arrived, the staff took us up the stairs to the fourth floor because the elevator wasn’t on. They only switched it on after we complained. The street outside was unpleasant, with stagnant, foul-smelling water. Breakfast was okay. daniel helped us move our bags and was very helpful and polite, though he looked extremely tired and worn out. The room phone didn’t work, so we had to go to reception whenever we needed anything. The staff apologized in the morning, and I appreciate that, but this review is about what happened. I suggested they let guests know in advance if the air conditioning isn’t working properly. I booked because of the hotel’s high Google rating, but this experience has made me question how much I can trust reviews. I don’t recommend this hotel.

The rooms were spotless, the food tasted great, and the atmosphere was just right. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive. I’d highly recommend it if you want a relaxing, memorable stay.

The service felt very substandard, with poor management. Several basic things listed weren’t in my room at first: a towel, fridge, fan, and kettle or tea-making setup. I had to ask, then insist before a fridge was moved from another empty room. I’d requested a non-smoking room, but on the second day I opened my door and could clearly smell weed in the corridor. Breakfast was sliced bread and omelette, with no cutlery. Room service said they didn’t provide cutlery, but brought some when I asked. The next day it was missing again, and the same staff member gave the unforgivable excuse that she didn’t know I was still the same guest. The lights were unstable, and the air conditioning would pause. The lights only went out briefly when switching between main power and generator or solar. They also insisted I leave my room key, then forgot to reactivate it when returning it. I reached my door on the fourth floor before finding out, and was lucky a porter helped carry my things back downstairs to reception while I waited. The final straw was being handed one laundry price list and then told a different price.

The food was the best part for me, and the facilities were top notch. I found the surroundings neat and attractive, with commendable service throughout my smooth stay at 24/7 luxury hotel. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve visited, and I highly recommend it.
