The place is pretty, but it could do so much better. We were put in Room 203 (the last four pictures), where the AC felt more like a heater and the intercom didn’t work, even though we’d asked for a working one before paying. After we complained, we moved to the smaller Room 108, which had a really good AC, but its intercom also didn’t work. Both rooms initially had brown water, and I don’t know if the pipes are rusty or what. We had no towels, tissue, or complimentary bottle of water. Room 108 had lots of mosquitoes even though it was the dry season. The lobby and stairs smelled strongly of cigarettes despite the no-smoking signs. Neither room had an AC remote, and we had to insist that one be left with us in the second room. They deserve no more than 2.5 stars, though my partner thinks I’m too generous giving them three.

Customer service was good, the setting was quiet, and the power supply was steady. The bed was sizeable and the room neat, though the bathroom had a few stains. There was no WiFi, and the lobby always had a distinct smoky smell. That’s why I gave it four stars.

The lobby smelled like cigarettes even though there was a no-smoking poster, and the bedsheet was dirty, as you can see in the picture. The bathroom was terrible, too. The AC wasn’t working properly, and after I asked many times to have it checked, nothing was done. This hotel should charge £2 a night.

The room was horrible and looked badly maintained. The bathroom shower was so bad that water rushed out any which way, and the phone didn’t work properly. The building looks nice, and the staff were polite and professional, but they need to fix the place up because it has potential.

I wouldn’t recommend such a scary place for a gentleman or civilized people. Their customers are mostly touts and hooligans. Last night, I saw a customer bullying the female receptionist to give him a room without paying, almost as if he was going to beat her up.
