Vagosh Hotel & Resorts

I had a miserable stay at Vagosh and regret choosing it. The bathrooms were dirty, there was no electricity even to charge my phone, and the staff were frustrating to deal with. I hope other guests don’t go through what I did.

The customer service was really lacking, and several facilities were broken. There were mosquitoes, too. With no electricity, the AC was unusable. They ran the generator for just a couple of hours at night, and even then I could only use the fan. Staying here would be a terrible mistake.

The room itself was only average. The wardrobe hinges were broken, the bathroom door wouldn’t close, and the AC didn’t work, so they brought me a fan. I was alone and the weather was pleasant, so those issues were disappointing but manageable. The bigger problem was the power: there was no electricity except when the generator ran from 9pm to 11pm, and it went off a couple of times. I arrived to find nobody at the gate. After knocking for a while, I opened it myself. Reception was empty too; two restaurant staff nearby eventually found the receptionist, who checked me in. I stayed one night in a superior room, and the worst part came later. It was New Year’s Eve, with a crossover event at the event center on the premises. The heavy music and shouting carried on through the night, and it felt like I was in the middle of a club. I lay awake staring at the ceiling until morning. This place is a joke.

It was a quiet setting, which seemed good for a getaway. During my visit, though, power was only available from 6pm to 7am. They didn’t sell alcoholic drinks on the premises, and there was no cable TV subscription.
