Royal Continental Suites and Apartments

The hotel is spacious and well located, with a supermarket and eatery across the road. I stayed for 7 days, and there were some real problems. The bedding was old and rough, from the pillowcases and sheets to the duvets, and the room cleaners didn’t do a good job. One night, while I was asleep, a man knocked and kept saying, “It’s me, open the door.” I was scared and called the front desk, but he’d left by the time anyone came. I wedged the door with a chair and waited anxiously for morning so I could leave. I also had trouble with the staff. A woman from the bar didn’t return my 200h change after bringing my drink. It wasn’t about the amount, guests should get to decide if they want to tip. The front desk woman was nice when I checked in, but a few days later she spoke to me very rudely. I called her out and she apologized, though I was still disappointed.

The food was good, and room service was excellent. The hotel was easy to find and the grounds were clean. My room was in good condition, the amenities worked, and the elevator was functional too. There’s also a lounge and a pool. I had a good stay.

For what I paid, this place wasn’t worth it. Room service was very slow to respond, and the bar and restaurant staff showed little courtesy or warmth toward guests. I’d have been better off sleeping under a bridge.

Maintenance needs attention here. The hotel is large, with about 50 rooms, and the prices are reasonable. Breakfast is included.
