Golden Tulip Grand Palazzo

Grand Pellazo Hotel is in a peaceful, convenient spot, and the staff are very good and professional.

Golden Tulip feels like a royal hotel. The ambience, hospitality and scenery are breathtaking, and my room felt like home. It had beautiful lights and a bathroom with everything you need. I couldn’t explore much or take photos, but I plan to come back and see more. The meals were delicious, though quite expensive for the average Nigerian. A few things to know: you need valid ID to check in, there’s a swimming pool and a lounge, but no mini mart. Also, it isn’t safe to walk alone on the streets at night.

From the reception hall onward, the experience at the Grand Palazzo Hotels was beautiful. The receptionist attended to me delightfully, and the porters handled their duties just as professionally. Service is top notch, the bar is well stocked, and the menu has an array of delicacies. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and security is guaranteed within the premises.

The breakfast was the only plus for me. It wasn’t a buffet, but they brought everything I ordered, though the bacon was a little over-fried. The rest of the stay was disappointing. I booked online under the “Golden Tulip” brand without seeing the hotel first, and when I arrived it looked rundown, not like an average Golden Tulip. The first room wasn’t up to standard, so I paid a bit extra for an upgrade. That room was slightly better, but the AC didn’t work. After I complained several times, they finally moved me to a lower room with working AC, without discussing any refund. Then the bathroom in that room flooded after a shower because of drainage problems. I left the technician working on it when I checked out. The place needs a proper upgrade, or they should remove the “Golden Tulip” name because it lets the brand down. I wasn’t impressed enough to take any pictures.
