They’re renovating at the moment, but it still wasn’t a wonderful place.

I’m rarely critical, and the workers seemed to be trying to represent the hotel well, but I wasn’t impressed with the service. I couldn’t find a suggestion box at reception, so I’m putting a few things here. This isn’t meant as hate or offence, just a call for better service. The room I stayed in didn’t suit me, and when I tried to switch, I was told every room was occupied. The paint colours were a disaster. If they weren’t sure what colours to use, they should have left the walls white. My sister didn’t like them either. The mirror was set so close to the bed that I had to climb onto the bed to see my full reflection, even though there was a perfect spot where it could have fit. The electrician didn’t position the sockets well either. A socket should have been near the bed, but I had to get up and go to the TV area to plug in my charger. Some rooms, maybe all of them, also had an annoying wooden extension box with a wire. For nearly two weeks, I had to deal with a badly leaking tap. The plumber kept saying he’d come tomorrow, which seemed to mean never, and getting a hot bath each morning was a struggle. I’ll leave that point there. The service line would drop my call before I did, or someone would answer without a polite greeting and just say “house keeping,” “maintenance,” or “reception.” It didn’t bother me until a colleague pointed it out, and then I understood. Why charge so much per room and not even provide bottled table water or a piece or two of fruit? The managers are nice when they want your business, but afterwards you’re on your own. Also, the hotel shouldn’t be made big for nothing.

The calm grounds blend well with nature, and the rooms are furnished for comfort. There’s a great pool and a poolside bar, adding a touch of class to the place. It’s somewhere to be.

A good spot to meet up with friends or host an event. They serve assorted drinks and delicious meals, and the service is great. The grounds are spacious and pleasant, with a large car park reserved for customers. There’s an ATM for easy payment after a stay or for other services, plus a wheelchair entrance and wheelchair parking.
