The ambience is nice, but ask the price before ordering anything, especially food or drinks. If you leave a deposit at reception, pay cash. They don’t refund what you haven’t used, unless you plan to spend it on your next visit, and that only works if you’re not a guest on transit.

With all its trees and plants, Rivera Hotel feels like a relaxation garden and a home. It would be a lovely honeymoon getaway, and you could plan a cool surprise romantic dinner there.

The setting is peaceful, with a view of the Port Harcourt golf course, but the hotel generally isn’t worth the price. It’s poorly maintained, and the rooms are old and unkempt.

For anyone in town who wants somewhere quiet, hidden, and extremely discreet, this place could be just right. It’s tucked between regular residential apartments on Ernest ikoli street, old GRA, on a high taste street. I didn’t believe I was in a hotel until I walked into the reception. It felt like visiting a friend at his residence.

The environment is quiet and serene, the rooms are comfortable, and I like the bedding. The staff provide excellent service.
