I had a bad experience at Haffy Executive Hotel, and I don't understand the positive reviews. They said there was 24-hour light, but when I arrived to lodge, they told me the area's power supply was faulty, so they depend on NEPA light. I asked for my money back and left angry. It's now been three months and I still haven't received the refund. Whenever I call, I get silly excuses, and they've even stopped answering. The fee is high for such poor service. I suspect their MD keeps traveling to avoid returning my 20,000 naira. I also don't understand who designed the rooms: I've never seen a standard hotel with the TV beside the bed instead of in front of it.

Staff are supportive and show respect in keeping with African norms. It's very affordable, with light for 23 hours a day.

The hotel was great overall, and the lighting, surroundings, and restrooms were all good. The food let it down, though. My noodles were almost tasteless, and the Afang soup was salty. The chicken was still raw, with blood visible.
