Bishop's Apartments and Suites

The worst part was the noise in the corridors. Young people from the adjoining night spot and bar, which belong to the same owner, kept spilling over and making noise. The bathroom shower didn't work either. My room was small and dim, and the air conditioning never worked during my stay. There was no room phone, so getting help meant going down two flights of stairs to reception. Customer service was poor from the moment I arrived. I'd give the place a miss unless you like the chicken in a basket brigade or have no other option.

It's quiet around here, and my room was okay.

The customer service is great, but there was a serious water problem on the second floor. I can't speak for the other floors. My friends repeatedly raised it with reception and the manager, and nothing was done during our stay. I was reliably told management already knew about it. They need to fix this so customers get value for their money and keep coming back.

There's plenty of parking for cars, a nice building, and a bar where you can relax. But when my colleague and I arrived at 3pm to get two rooms, the power was out. Staff said they only turned on the generator at 4pm, so we waited at reception for almost an hour. I stayed because there seemed to be few alternatives in Bayelsa, and I was worn out from the long trip to Yenegoa. The water closet in my room wouldn't flush, so I had to fetch water every time I used it. I wonder what it would cost to fix something that simple. There's no complimentary water in the room, and breakfast isn't complimentary either.
