Airport X Managua Hotel

For a night before a flight, this place is practical and close to the airport. The shuttle costs about $5 USD, and breakfast is offered from 4:00 a.m., though we left just before it began. Our room was small and basic, but clean and air-conditioned. The price is very fair if you expect a simple place to sleep, not a luxury hotel. It worked well for us, and we'd stay again.

For the price, it was a pleasant stay and good value. The common areas and rooms were clean and comfortable, and when my AC quit and started leaking, the front desk quickly moved me to another room. I do wish rooms were cleaned daily, especially the bathroom trash since toilet paper can't be flushed. WiFi in the rooms is also a big necessity for me.

The staff were unfriendly, and I was charged the same shuttle price even though I had to share the ride with other guests. The restaurant and bar were expensive, with better options nearby, and recycling facilities are scarce, as is common throughout Nicaragua. Still, it's handy for the airport, with spacious rooms, hot showers, a decent breakfast, and a useful shuttle.

Good food and cold beer in a comfortable, safe setting. The room was a very good deal for four adults, just as advertised. The airport is an easy half-mile walk, or you can take a $5 taxi.
