Hotel San Jose, Matagalpa.

The main problems for me were the noise and the extra guest rules. At 5 a.m., the church behind the hotel blasted its speakers nonstop, and people were allowed to drink and be so loud downstairs that I couldn't sleep. No one mentioned this beforehand. You also have to ask permission to bring someone to your room, and an additional $25 may be charged. At $71 per night, that can get costly. Even so, the staff, rooms, service, and food were amazing. The place stands out for its attention to detail and cleanliness. The front desk person greeted me by name every day, the rooms were cleaned daily, and breakfast was delicious and free. It's within walking distance of parks, churches, bars, and restaurants. I'd recommend it if top-notch service and cleanliness are what you're after.

The owner was very kind and always available during our medical group's one-week stay. We had nice rooms and public facilities, and everything was very clean. The location was good, too.

The breakfast was delicious, the staff were great, and the hotel was very comfortable.

The included breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and delicious, and the coffee was 10/10. The hotel was spotless and felt authentic to the country. The staff and host were so kind and courteous, and the service was perfect. There are nice little restaurants and cafes within walking distance, plus a beautiful church nearby. The Wi-Fi signal was exceptional. Absolutely recommend this cute little hotel. Thank you!
