Puerto Sandino Surf Resort

The waves are within walking distance, and the view is about as good as I could imagine for checking the surf over coffee and breakfast. Colin knows the area inside out and is a next level surfer, plus he’s friendly and kind. The room was clean, cool, and just the right size. After a day surfing, I’d turn on the AC and it’d be comfortable by the time I got out of the shower. I felt safe and secure while still being welcomed. From my first contact with the resort, they were helpful all the way through. If you want to surf, relax, and be looked after, this is the place. I’ll definitely be back, give them a call.

The food was so good that it came with one danger, I might gain weight! There’s a pool, billiards, table tennis, and lots of room to hang out. The bedrooms were clean and well furnished, with comfortable mattresses and a fresh smell. We could hear the waves all the time since the place is right by the ocean, and the surf break is straight in front of the house. Colin is a wonderful host, always smiling and ready to help. He puts together surf camps with everything covered, including surf trips, meals all day, and excursions. This was the best place we stayed in Nicaragua, with a truly magical vibe.

The food was top notch, and the surf was great all week with very few crowds. We got barreled right out front and also took a boat to a secluded beachbreak. Each afternoon or evening, Colin laid out the surf options for the next day and let us pick our own adventure. He really has the place wired. I came looking for a week of good waves and relaxed vibes, and PSSR delivered. Colin was easy to talk to and kept in touch from my first email. When we arrived, we clicked with the crew already there and spent the week sharing waves. Thanks to Colin and the team for an unforgettable week.
