Finca La Magia

The hosts were lovely, and when we asked about the garden in Spanish, they showed us around and explained things. The food was delicious, made with ingredients growing right there. We stayed in May and saw fireflies all over the grounds each night. The three local-material houses are spread across a large natural area. It is in a more remote part of the island, which might not suit everyone, but the waterfall trail is close by, with only about ten more minutes of driving if that’s your plan. I’d definitely come back.

I’d go to Finca la Magia for the quiet and peaceful setting in nature. It’s near the San Ramon waterfall, and the young man working there was really kind and helpful. A great experience.

Getting there by bus from Moyogalpa is possible. Once you’re there, you wake up to monkeys and birds, which made this the best experience of my trip to Nicaragua. There aren’t restaurants nearby, but the hostel serves delicious food. A lovely place for anyone who enjoys nature and animals.

Delfa cooks so well, especially the empanadas and moringa salad. The whole place has a family feel, and the rooms were very clean. I loved the jungle sounds at night and taking a shower outdoors, tucked away among the plants.
