At £10 a night for a double room with a bathroom, it was decent value if you can put up with the service. We’d seen comments about the landlady’s mood swings, but we only needed a cheap place and thought we could overlook that. She really does make you feel unwelcome, though. The waitress got both our orders wrong, then she and the landlady stood around arguing about it instead of apologising or fixing things. Still, the price works if bad customer service doesn’t bother you.

The location was great, but a flying cockroach in our room was pretty upsetting 🥲. The whole place also felt dirty and neglected.

We dropped in for lunch and had such a nice time. The food was freshly made, delicious, and cheaper than at the nearby restaurants. The colorful decor and stuffed animal toys hanging around gave the place a quirky feel, and the staff were really friendly. My friend checked out the rooms too. They looked spacious and reasonably priced. I think the dorm was $7USD with breakfast included. It’s quiet, so it could work well if you’re traveling with a group or trying to save money. We’d definitely come back for a meal 😊

The food is freshly made, though it can take a while to arrive. I liked the local dishes, especially the chicken burrito and pollo a la plancha, and the banana milkshake was great too. Prices are cheap.

The gallo pinto was nice, which is why I’d given this place five stars at first. I’m changing that to one because señora maria’s mood swings are so strange. I came back for breakfast, ordered, then mentioned I only had 40 minutes. She took offense and refused to serve me. Other reviews say she takes just about anything personally too.
