Hush Maderas

The property is beautiful, with lovely views, and the grounds were well kept. Our rooms were very clean, the staff were friendly, and the AC worked well. The beach is about a 12 minute walk, but it’s steep. For $124/night, I think the deluxe room is still fair value, which is why I gave it 3 stars. The bed wasn’t comfortable: they’d pushed two twin beds together to make the “queen,” leaving a gap, and the mattress was hard. Water from both the sink and shower was salty and room temperature, not even warm. The restaurant was hit or miss, with about half the dishes pretty good and the other half not so much.

The hotel is beautifully designed, with a pretty garden, yoga mats upstairs, and a pool with a great view and plenty of space to relax. The staff were kind and helpful, and the food was delicious at both breakfast and dinner. We ate dinner there twice and enjoyed the cocktails too. Our one issue was the noise in relation to our particular room. It was a two double bed room on the same floor as the lounge, so we couldn’t really rest there without hearing the music from the common area and pool deck. In the afternoons and evenings it was too loud for us, more like a beach bar. Even listening to your own music through headphones in the lounge wouldn’t really have worked. Had we known about that room’s location, I’m not sure we’d have booked it. I’d still absolutely recommend the hotel, but not the floor-level rooms if you want quiet downtime.

We came for the yoga and breakfast and loved the beautiful views and delicious food. The management were so helpful and nice. I’d like to stay here next time we visit.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our three nights. Hush Maderas feels like a real paradise. The ocean view at sunset is stunning, the infinity pool is great, and the food is delicious. We absolutely fell in love with the place. Thank you so much! :)
