De Rijper Eilanden

I had a really nice stay at Hotel De Rijper Elanden. The area is peaceful and easy to reach, and the weather made the visit even nicer. My room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, so I felt relaxed throughout. The food was okay and satisfying, though not the best. I did spot a spider on the wall, but everything else was great. I’d definitely recommend it for a cosy, quiet stay in a beautiful area.

It’s easy to find the hotel, and depending on traffic, the drive to Amsterdam centre takes 30-60 minutes. Public transport to Amterdam Central Station takes 60 minutes. There’s good parking for cars, and coaches can park easily too. Inside, it feels like stepping into a museum. The reception has the look of an antique shop rather than a usual hotel desk. Staff are helpful and speak English very well. The hotel is clean, spacious, and the rooms have no stuffy, closed-up smell. Wifi works very well without cutting out. The food is plentiful and very good, and the restaurant doesn’t feel cramped, though it can get busy when a few large groups are staying. I recommend staying here.

An unusual hotel with a lovely antique room. It was really nice, big, clean, and spacious.

The antiques collection is enormous, the biggest I’ve ever seen, and it gave the ranch hotel a real feeling of stepping back in time. We stayed three times over three weeks and each visit was a pleasure. The room was cozy, with a really spacious bathroom, and breakfast was lovely. The friendly staff made us feel at home. I’d gladly come back. The owner is great too, especially if you get a chance to chat.
