The room was clean, which was the one good thing. The welcome felt uninviting, and the staff seemed annoyed that we were there. Our room was freezing because the radiator didn't work. When I asked for help, the staff were rude and didn't seem interested. We had booked three nights but left after the first and found somewhere else.

The hotel was tidy and clean, and the car park was great. Every staff member we dealt with was amazing, welcoming, and helpful.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, with large rooms and huge beds. Staff were friendly and happy to help. Some guests kept their bikes in their rooms, while others used a locked room. The restaurant was good, although it had run out of a few dishes, especially pasta. There were plenty of other options. Even though my room faced the main road, it was very quiet. I was in town for Challenge Almere and worried it might be too far from the centre for registration and race day, but getting there was easy. The drive takes about 10 minutes, with plenty of parking even on race morning. Walking takes around 30-40 minutes and is a pleasant, relaxed route. I didn't catch whether the owner had raced in the event or organized it, but either way, the hotel is very triathlete friendly. I'm racing again next year and will probably stay here again.
