The trails nearby are great for walking and biking, and breakfast was nice. The hotel is spotless and the WiFi works well. It sits by the “death road,” but inside it feels cheerful. The rooms are nicely furnished, though people can see in on the ground floor. That may not bother many Dutch guests, who are used to passers-by looking into their homes.

There’s coffee and tea available all day, and the buffet breakfast had lots of good options. The whole philosophy school and hotel has a relaxed feel. My room smelled like a wooden lodge, which I found really comforting. It was very clean, with a good shower, strong water pressure, a towel warmer, and a terrazzo bathroom floor. I also liked the patio looking onto nature. Just be aware the hotel only opens when classes are running, so an occasional night’s stay might not be possible.

The breakfast was a highlight, with plenty to choose from for vegans and vegetarians too. My room faced the forest and had a lovely view from the balcony. It’s a really nice hotel in a lovely area, and all the staff were kind and helpful. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely recommend it.

You can sit on the terrace with a coffee or drink and look out over the forest. The rooms are large and clean, and there’s a bar, restaurant, books, and complimentary tea and coffee. Parking is spacious and feels secure. It’s close to the motorway but still very quiet. Amazing place, I’ll definitely visit again.
