I felt safe staying here as a solo female traveler. It’s a peaceful, idyllic spot by a picturesque canal, with some lovely chickens. The host is kind and very helpful, breakfast was very good, and the free bikes are a nice bonus. Strongly recommended!

Set along the beautiful Vecht river, the center is 10 minutes away by bike or bus. There are two large garden rooms, each with a private bathroom and terrace. Rates are 75, 90, 110 € for 1, 2, 3 persons. Royal breakfast, parking, bicycles, TV-DVD-CD, Wi-Fi, coffee, a fridge, and more are included. Double or single beds are available on request.

We had a really lovely stay, with peaceful surroundings and Utrecht city center close by. The garden isn’t as pretty in winter as it is in summer, but it still feels cozy, especially with the free-range chickens. There’s a bus stop nearby, and The Colour Kitchen is an excellent restaurant. We looked forward to the very generous breakfast each day, including eggs from their own chickens. Vincent was a friendly host and gave us a map full of tips. What more could you want?

We got a warm welcome from Vincent and really enjoyed the green surroundings and the privacy from the main house. Bikes are free to borrow. Breakfast was excellent, with several breads, different cheeses and cold cuts, fresh fruit, and more than I can list. Another room was occupied next to ours, but we barely heard anything. It’s a great starting point for Utrecht: the city center is 15 minutes by bike, while the other direction quickly takes you into nature. We’d love to come back.
