All four of us loved this place and we'd easily come back. The check-in was simple, even though it's handled by a virtual assistant. There's a real person on the other end who can answer lots of questions. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, but there were plenty of lockers for our luggage. We had the two-bed room for four people, with enough space for bags and moving around. We were on the first floor right beside check-in, yet it was still quiet. The location is amazing, just a street away from the really busy tourist area, so it's quieter while still being in a great spot.

The other guests were polite and kept things quiet at night, which helped make the place feel peaceful and safe. The train station is right nearby, but surprisingly it was still quiet. Our room was small, though plenty big enough for two, and the bed was comfortable. Coffee, tea, and umbrellas were thoughtful extras. The check-in system was efficient, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and suggested options that fitted our plans. We had a wonderful, comfortable stay and highly recommend it for the peaceful atmosphere and good service.
The online service worked great and felt unique. They also let us store our luggage before check-in and after check-out. We found a large room with three beds and plenty of space for my family of six. There was a coffee machine and fridge in the room, and the shower was big with good hot water. There’s no elevator, and the stairs are pretty scary. There’s nothing else in the hotel apart from the rooms.
The only downside is the stairs. After a few drinks, wow, they’re quite a challenge lol 😂🤣. Otherwise, I really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable, and I’d definitely stay again.
The location is perfect and the amenities were good, except for the bad shower. There was hardly any water pressure. Because the building is heritage listed, there's no lift. A ground or first floor room would have been okay, but we had trouble with the narrow stairs, especially carrying luggage. We were told we could leave our big suitcases on the ground floor 😩. Our room was on what they called the third floor, but it was actually the attic, the fourth floor. That's 72 narrow steps. In our 60s, it was a tough gig. With no staff on site apart from cleaners, no one could help get our bags back down. I'd say this room is only suitable for a very short stay. Wouldn't recommend it.
