Amsterdam Vondelpark Guesthouse

It was lovely being so close to Amsterdam’s main sights and still having a quiet room to come back to at night. Everything was spotless, cozy, and nicely decorated, with all I needed. The host was warm and helpful, easy to reach on WhatsApp, and lives nearby, which was reassuring. I’d happily come back.

We found the place beautifully decorated and really clean, and the kitchen came in handy during our five nights. The hosts were lovely, and it was nice to stay with locals instead of in a big hotel. The nearby park is lovely too. The location worked well for us, peaceful but close to the center and transport. Only a very minor thing: room 2 has its own bathroom, but it isn’t ensuite, so using the toilet at night means going through the shared area.

The rooms are on the second floor, and the stairs are steep, with no elevator. Once upstairs, though, they’re lovely and comfortable. It’s quiet, close to the park, and there are plenty of places to eat and drink within a short walk. Petra was thoughtful and generous. Both rooms share a well-equipped kitchenette with a little fridge, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher, tea, and coffee.

I loved being so near the park, and it was easy to get here from the train station. Petra kept in touch really well from the time I booked. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated, and I especially liked the tea selection in the kitchen. I’d stay here again.
