The host was very attentive and served breakfast while playing acoustic guitar. It's in a good location, clean, and has most of the facilities you'd want. The space was smaller than the photos made me expect. If you're taller than 5ft9, you'll struggle to fit on the bed, but I guess that's part of the adventure. One small thing: when I asked for water, I was advised to use tap water, and coffee was only available at breakfast, not during the day. Still, it was better than I expected. I'd recommend it if you're after something different. Thank you for having us!

The owner was amazing, the breakfast was tasty, and the location is great. Rooms are small, and some guests can be noisy, but in general it's worth the price.

There's plenty of breakfast, and the place has a lot of wood and historic charm. It's understandably cramped, with a shared shower and toilet, but surprisingly quiet. You can walk to both the main train station and Amsterdam's historic centre. A simple stay with a bit of an adventurous feel.

We were only using the hostel to sleep, and it suited us well. The location is great, with everywhere reachable on foot, and the price is very reasonable if you don't mind the room size. The rooms are VERY small, so I wouldn't choose it if I were claustrophobic. The hostel was extremely clean, and we had no issues with the shared toilets and showers, either for cleanliness or availability. Breakfast had lots to choose from, including fruit, muesli, croissants and cheese, and the coffee was delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay!
