The reception team gave us a birthday card and waffles, which we really appreciated. Staff were fabulous throughout our two-night stay, and the decor was stunning. Our top-floor room was a little small, but that added to its charm, and we had a lovely canal view. It was dressed and decorated just as beautifully as the public spaces. The location was great for seeing the touristy spots as well as finding quieter streets farther from the centre. We let Amsterdam come to us and weren’t disappointed. It was a superb surprise from my lovely wife!

The staff made everything easy from check-in onward, always friendly and ready to help with a smile. Our room was spotless and cozy, very quiet too, and had one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. It’s close to everything and right by the canal, yet the area feels peaceful. The hotel’s design is warm, beautiful and full of character, and walking in felt like entering a little luxury world in the middle of Amsterdam. We felt welcomed, relaxed and looked after from the moment we arrived. The stay was amazing, and we’ll definitely come back. Highly recommended for comfort, hospitality and a beautiful Amsterdam experience.

The lobby had plenty of room to sit and read or enjoy the snowy view from the window. The free sweets and cookies were a nice extra, and the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and New Year’s. We spent five nights there over New Year’s. Our room, 109, was small but had everything we needed, and the rooms were relatively quiet. The location was amazing, with everything close by.

Breakfast was a self-serve feast, with fresh eggs, cheeses, meats, fresh juices, and amazing local desserts, plus more. It’s a proper meal. Service was great too. The decor is stellar, wildly divine. Walking in felt like stepping onto a movie set for Wizard and Tiffany wonder world. Our suite was perfectly designed and appointed for two. The hotel is on Signel, a canal close to everything, down from the Flower Canal area and around the corner from one of Amsterdams’ best dining and shopping areas. What a find. Amazing overall.

There are cozy places to lounge, a free snack area you can top up, and two british-shorthair cats to cuddle. Breakfast was nice, though we chose to eat out most days since there are plenty of good breakfast spots around the hotel. The rooms are exceptionally nice for couples spending time in the heart of Amsterdam. The staff were attentive and very friendly, and explained everything well. My only gripe was the lack of places to hang wet jackets or clothes. The cabinet was very small for the cold time of year.
