We stayed for three nights in a private room with three other people and were extremely happy with our visit. The room was basic but clean and quiet, with a radiator and a window so we didn't get too hot or cold. We couldn't hear the streets below. The beds were comfortable, and the hostel had all the facilities we needed. Reception felt welcoming and modern. It's very centrally located and convenient to reach. Just keep in mind that you'll need to carry your luggage up the stairs.
For €125, I found it really disappointing that I couldn't sleep more than three hours, even in a private room. It was very noisy, as though the windows were open, and the bed was so soft I sank into it. The one good thing was the friendly staff.
We paid quite a bit, though the location is central, so some noise is to be expected. It didn't bother us since our room was at the back on the third floor. The private room seemed newly renovated and was clean, but the bathroom had a slightly musty smell. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was basic but had enough to fill you up. Getting up and down the narrow stairs was difficult.
A random Telegram number offered me a monetary reward to give this place five stars, so obviously I'm going to give it one. Take any five-star ratings with a grain of salt. Enjoy your stay in Amsterdam.
The rooms are simple but very quiet, and the location puts you right in the middle of everything. I'll definitely come back.
