The beds and pillows were so comfortable, and the rooms and the rest of the hotel were clean and nice. Breakfast felt like good value since you could have as much as you wanted, especially tea and coffee. The hot options were very basic: bacon one day, sausage the next, not both, and only scrambled or boiled eggs. There were also meats, cheeses, pastries, cereal, pancakes, and bread.

Check-in and checkout were quick and easy, and we found the beds very comfortable and the rooms clean. Breakfast was good too. The location made sightseeing simple, with most major attractions walkable, Amsterdam Central Station about 15 minutes away on foot, and Waterlooplein metro station around 10 minutes away. There isn't parking or a gym/training room, but it's a great choice for staying in Amsterdam.

We had a very pleasant week in Amsterdam. The room was standard IBIS, with a small pod bathroom you had to step into and doors that bang shut. We were on the top, 6th floor, looking over a canal, where we could watch ducks and parakeets. It was nice to open the window for fresh air. Both lifts worked and seemed quick, and the room WiFi was fast with a good signal. The hotel is near the centre, with the tram at Mr Visserplein and the metro at Waterlooplein close by. We used the bar several times. It's a really nice space with a good range of rather expensive beers, plus free nuts to make you thirsty! Breakfast was enjoyable, though I thought it cost a bit much for what it was, and seemed worse than last year. There was a small hot selection of eggs, bacon or sausages, hash browns, and beans, oddly with carrot pieces. It seemed fresh and was topped up regularly. The cheese slices and humus looked a little dry or stale around the edges, but the rest of the cold food was good. Hot drinks were fine, though the machines seemed troublesome. Usually only one was working, and that one had occasional issues. It wasn't a big deal while it was quiet, but I can imagine queues when it's busy. The fruit juices were watery and unpleasant. My wife liked the pancakes. I'd have rated the hotel a 9 if not for the breakfast issues.

Reyan made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, with such warm, professional service and a real effort to make sure we had what we needed. That hospitality was the highlight of our stay. The breakfast buffet was another big plus, with fresh, delicious food and great variety, one of the best we've had. The hotel is right in the city center, making it easy to walk to the main attractions, cafes, and canals. Everything is only a short stroll away. We highly recommend it for a visit to Amsterdam and can't wait to return.

The staff were cheerful and helpful whenever we dealt with them, and check-in was quick. We stayed three nights and found the hotel a great base for exploring. The main city centre, with shops and restaurants, is just a few minutes away on foot, and we didn't use public transport. From the train station it took us about 20 minutes to get there. Our ground floor room had a fantastic canal view, a treat to wake up to. It was basic, as the price suggests, but clean and comfortable, enough for a short break. It had been cold in Amsterdam, though, and the room never got particularly warm even with the thermostat turned up. Also, the bar closes at 10pm. Around 20 people there on our last night seemed disappointed they couldn't have one last drink, especially since nearby hotels and bars still appeared to be serving. Small grumbles, really. I'd recommend staying here for a short Amsterdam trip.
