ibis Amsterdam City West

Stayed three nights with three people. The place was easy to reach by train or bus, and our room was good, quiet, and warm. The bathroom was spacious, with a brilliant shower. The bed was lovely, and there was a TV and a handy charging cube. No kettle in the room, but they brought one when we asked. The only issue with the bathroom was the step going into it.

I've been to Amsterdam often, and this was one of my better stays. The hotel was quiet and clean, with great bus, tram, and metro connections. The food at the bar was very good too.

The bed was very comfortable, which matters a lot to us, and the hotel was very clean. There’s a water machine in the lobby. The restaurant is really expensive. Rooms don't have a small fridge, coffee maker, or anything like that. There's not much around the hotel, and walking to the town centre takes a good 45 minutes to an hour.

Our flight was cancelled on the last day, leaving us with a six hour wait for a bus. We'd checked out at 9am, but the staff let us keep our bags there until midnight and use the lobby to charge our devices. The reception team couldn't have been nicer. Huge thanks to Martina and ?Kelsey/Kelcey at the desk, who made sure we had everything and were happy to help. The rooms were clean and tidy with everything we needed. Bedding wasn't changed every day, but that didn't bother us. It's a good location, about a 10 minute walk to Sloterdijk station, with trains to Centraal every 10 minutes or so. Changed my mind about staying at an Ibis in future!
