Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre

The room cleanliness was disappointing. The bathroom looked dirty and hadn’t been cleaned properly, and there was noticeable dust in the main room. For a hotel of this level, I expected better attention to housekeeping. It affected my stay quite a bit. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and always ready to help. The location is amazing, close to downtown and convenient for getting around and exploring. Breakfast was another highlight, with plenty of variety and choices. With more thorough cleaning, this could have been a much more enjoyable experience at the Mövenpick Hotel.

The breakfast is well worth trying, especially the pancake machine, which was my favourite. Special thanks to Mr. Esat, who helped us with literally everything and was such a kind, positive person. The hotel is amazing, and I’d definitely stay there again whenever I’m in Amsterdam. Just please don’t raise the price! It’s about a 15-minute walk to Dam Square, and I highly recommend getting a room with a view. Watching ships pass along the canal is a must. The rooms are spacious and really clean. Some have Chromecast, so you can watch Netflix while relaxing. The hair dryer barely blew air and was no use for drying, and the air conditioner wasn’t enough to warm the room, but those issues didn’t change my five-star rating. Thank you, Mövenpick.

After a rough travel day, the staff sorted out our booking issue with ease, even compared with Expedia, and got us an early check-in. They were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. We had a great stay at this premium hotel close to Amsterdam Centraal. The room was always clean, and the bed was super comfortable after long days walking around the city. Breakfast was delicious, with a good range of options and attentive staff. This lovely hotel helped make our time in the city a great stay.

We had an excellent stay from beginning to end. The rooms were beautiful and spotless, the service was exceptional, and both the food and choice of options were amazing. The location was excellent too. All the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, especially Fiona in the restaurant. She put in so much effort and gave us special attention when we weren’t even expecting it. The hotel is lucky to have her. Highly recommended.
