Room Mate Aitana, Amsterdam

The staff were attentive, and they made my daughter’s birthday feel special, which we really appreciated. When any small issue came up, they dealt with it quickly and professionally. We had four lovely nights at Room Mate Aitana. The room was spacious, bright and clean, with lovely views over the river and city, and the bathroom was modern and well kept. It’s near the centre but the area is calm and quiet. We’d be glad to return.

The hotel sits on Ijdock, a peaceful, somewhat isolated area away from the crowds. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to Centraal Station, or you can take bus 48. We stayed last December and had a wonderful time. The lobby had a lovely atmosphere and felt luxurious, and the staff who checked us in were cheerful and friendly. Our room was spacious and very clean, the river view was nice, and both the bed and spotless bathroom were great.

Breakfast was good value, with lots of quality options to choose from. The hotel is in a picturesque, quiet area, and the location worked well for us. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and every staff member was polite, helpful and good at their job. We felt welcome and really enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend it, worth every penny.

Emily, the hotel director, went above and beyond for our son’s 18th birthday. His room was beautifully decorated with balloons and chocolates, and there was a lovely birthday card. Davide at reception was also incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout, with a friendly, professional manner that made us feel at home right away. We were in Amsterdam for our first visit and the rooms were beautiful and comfortable, well placed for exploring the city. The welcome from the moment we arrived made this family holiday unforgettable. We couldn’t have chosen a better hotel for the occasion. We strongly recommend Room Mate Aitana and will definitely return.
