Sebastian made check-in easy and let us into our room early since it was ready. As first-time visitors to Amsterdam, we appreciated him walking us through the map and pointing out places to see. The location is right among the attractions, just steps from Rijks Museum and near lovely bridge canals, with a tram stop right outside. Our room in this beautiful, newly renovated historic building had lovely decor and was very clean and comfortable, with a view of Rijks Museum and the canal. Thoughtful touches included a coffee maker and tea, ironing board, facial tissues, and bathroom cups. The hotel has a clean air filtration system, and the tap water is perfectly safe to drink. Great staff, and we highly recommend this hotel.

We only stayed one night, but had a genuinely lovely time. The staff were kind, everything was clean even though the windows wouldn’t open, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. I really felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. It was my first time in dam and the location was amazing, close to transport for the airport and other destinations. We mostly walked because so much was within walking distance. We’ll definitely be back.

The location is good, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There was no hot water at all through the night, so I couldn’t shower, which made the stay a nightmare. There’s also no 24/7 reception, which was inconvenient. Before arriving, I received around 10-15 emails from the hotel, and that was extremely annoying.

We were woken well before 8 am by a lot of noise. It seemed to come from cleaning staff and/or guests dragging equipment or suitcases in and out of the elevator. There’s no sound insulation, just a metal grate around the elevator. A really bad experience.

The location worked really well for us. Vondelpark is under a 10-minute walk away, Rijksmuseum is even closer, and there are plenty of restaurants and coffee places nearby. Public transport is also close, and we used the bus to the airport, about a six-minute walk from the hotel. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The room was perfect for us, with a great shower, comfortable bed, and all the useful things we needed: coffee machine, little fridge, space for clothes and luggage, iron, and hairdryer. There’s a lift if you have heavy bags, as well as stairs and a gallery/coffee place on the first floor. The hotel was wonderful, and the staff were super helpful and nice. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
