Chalet 017. We planned a three-night getaway and left after two hours. The bed was a hard plank with only a thin sheet over it, and the linen felt rough. There were no towels, either. The place was so bare it felt like a barren box, with no comfort or thought for guests. We tried to tell the host it was uninhabitable, but messages took a long time to get a response, and the replies felt dismissive and unhelpful. We left immediately, forfeited the full payment, and checked into a hotel, glad to pay for a pillow. I consider this a terrible deal for anyone who needs sleep. Save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else. Even a park bench would be more comfortable, with better customer service.

We stayed in the small blokhut for three nights in July 2024 and were thoroughly satisfied. It's easy to find, and the campsite is quiet, with lots of space and greenery around the pitches. The sanitary facilities are spacious and very clean. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We also liked the café and terrace on site, and there were games available. Nothing but positive feedback from us.

We really enjoyed our night in the well-stocked chalet tent. The campground is beautifully landscaped, with newer facilities and very friendly staff.

We stay here every year when we go to the motogp at assen. The camp site is lovely and quiet, and the staff are helpful and friendly. We stay in one of the static homes, which are clean and just right for us. Appelscha town is about a mile away if you want to eat out or have a drink, though there are facilities on site too. We'll be back again, that's enough said.
