The setting is lovely and quiet, with birdsong to wake you in the morning. We spent a weekend at De Kievit with my partner in a spotless, attractive log cabin. It has a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and a fully equipped living room with a sofa and TV. There are plenty of walking and cycling routes, and the village restaurants and cafes are close enough to reach on foot. The outdoor furniture sits under a canopy. We didn't try the wood-fired sauna, but it looked nice, with enough privacy and an outdoor shower. It seems like a good spot for a weekend, midweek stay, or a longer summer visit.

Esther looked after breakfast, and we were welcomed so warmly throughout our stay. The room was tastefully decorated, and the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. We'd happily come back, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet break.

The peaceful setting and spotless rooms made this a lovely B&B to stay in. Our room was spacious and tastefully done. Hostess Esther took over the Aekingahof at the beginning of this year and has done a wonderful job. Highly recommended!

The room was lovely and so quiet, and the breakfast was fantastic. Esther has recently taken over the B&B, and everything was perfectly arranged for our stay.

Cycling and walking are great in this area, with the forest nearby. The rooms are very well kept, and we received such a hospitable welcome. Breakfast was generous too. Highly recommended!
