NH Atlanta Rotterdam

The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide range of high quality food, beautifully presented. The buffet staff were especially thoughtful and accommodating. Since we were travelling internationally, they surprised us with snacks for the train, a really kind gesture. NH Hotel Rotterdam is unique, spotless, and full of personality. Everyone we met was welcoming, cheerful, and genuinely happy to help, which made the atmosphere so positive. The care and service throughout our stay exceeded our expectations. We had an amazing experience and would happily return or recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Breakfast was nice, with a good selection of hot and cold food, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was on the small side but comfortable. The room had a balcony, though it was locked and we couldn’t use it. There was a safe for valuables, a few hangers, and somewhere to put a suitcase, but no cupboard or proper place for clothes. It was a small room, though it had the usual amenities for a 3+ star hotel. The central location makes it easy to get to the hotel and around the city, but the noise was a problem. On Saturday night, loud music nearby carried on late, and people on motorbikes revved around for hours. In my case it went on until 2 am. Single glazed windows let all that noise in and also made it harder to keep the room warm. In mid January, it took about two hours for the radiator to warm it up. The bathroom was tiny and dated, though clean. Even taking a shower was an adventure, and it could be an issue on a longer stay. The room mixed worn, dated parts with modern furniture. Paint was coming off the doors, and the handles looked like they were from the 1970s. I’d call it an average four star hotel with room to improve. I wouldn’t mind staying again, but they should do something to reduce the noise, perhaps double glazing.

The breakfast deserves special mention for both the choice and the service. I asked if the kitchen could wrap some cheese for me to take along. They were happy to do it, packed it neatly in a box, and added a few extra goodies without me asking. That kind of initiative sticks with you. The hotel is a dependable choice for a business trip in central Rotterdam. It’s easy to get around, with public transport, shops, and restaurants nearby, and everything I needed was within walking distance. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and staff throughout were efficient and friendly. My room was clean, quiet, and practical, with a comfortable bed and a sensible layout. It felt well maintained, and I appreciate that the hotel puts function ahead of unnecessary flair. It has a slightly classic feel, but it’s clean, well run, and reliable. I’d absolutely stay again.

The rooms are properly furnished, and the facilities are old but in very good shape. The location is perfect. Cleaning is the problem: housekeeping seems to spend only three minutes in the room, spreading the blankets and replacing the towels. They don’t clean the floor, and the dust buildup looks weeks old.
